How It Works

How Counselling can work for you.

Counselling may be an effective way of offering you the space to think about, explore and talk about issues that may be concerning you or affecting the quality of your life. This is offered in a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment. Counselling can help you gain a deeper understanding of your feelings, experiences and behaviour, past and present. Sharing feelings, thoughts and fears can not only ease mental pain but also bring fresh insight, helping you to understand and make sense of things that may feel confusing. This can facilitate change and help you move forward in your life, particularly if you are feeling stuck.

How It Works

There is an initial meeting which gives us an opportunity to meet and explore what you want from therapy and to talk about the issues that have brought you to therapy. It is also a chance for you to ask questions.

The initial session is a mutual assessment and to see if and how we can work together. You do not have to commit yourself to any further sessions. If we decided to continue with therapy then we will agree a mutually convenient time to meet once a week, each session lasts 50 minutes.
